From the pages of Whisper Heights Independent School Panel’s newsletter to the streets of a zombie-apocalypse’d hellscape, Year One is a quick and harrowing jaunt through whatever horrors count as mundane to the poor sods who reside within its pages—those characters to whom we relate all too well.
In the first of a planned series of yearly efforts, Whisper House Press has gathered in this short volume the exceptional work published on its website over the past twelve months. In these pages, we welcome to the Whisper House stage C.J. Erick, Jonathan Reddoch, HFJ Ballard, Val Chatindo, J. Niera, Jamie Janazian, Paul Lonardo, Jen Mierisch, Liam Hogan, Ben Matthews, Theodore Hill, and Erin Dawkins.
Following closely on the heels of Costs of Living (9.1.25) and Dread Mondays (10.25.25), Whisper House Press’s third and final anthology of our first full year in operation releases tomorrow.
The stories appearing in this volume are available for free on our website (we want everyone always to have access to some of our stories), but they’re collected, contextualized / introduced, re-edited, and designed with increased attention and care in this volume. It’s nice to hold a book in your hands, right?
You can pick up a copy wherever books are sold, and you can always shop on Whisper House Press’s square website here.
